Lady Gaga Concert, Sunrise Florida – ArtRave Tour

Last Sunday I attended the ever so fabulous Lady Gaga concert in Sunrise, Florida (FTL/MIA) area. I have seen her a couple of times t and she always puts on a great show. The ArtRave Tour was different from the Monster Ball, there was an amazing stage and three or more catwalks. Parts of the catwalk were transparent, which was cool because you could see the show from a different perspective. I have to admit it’s a little weird to have Gaga’s bare booty above you. I had floor tickets, which was good and bad….the good is the closeness factor, the bad is that I couldn’t see the entire show because the stage was set up high. The setlist was decent, mostly from the ArtPop album.  The best part was watching the little monsters….some of the outfits were funny.

JK ROWLING SAYS ‘HARRY POTTER’ ENDING MAY BE WRONG

I am going to geek it out for a moment. I think Hermione and Ron were a good couple….they say opposites attract. I think J.K Rowling regrets not making more HP books. I didn’t care how the flash forward to the future seemed rushed and not well thought out. She should have made at least one more book.

LONDON (AP) – Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is having second thoughts about having ended the series with heroine Hermione Granger paired up romantically with Ron Weasley.

The hugely successful author tells Wonderland magazine she chose the red-haired Ron for Hermione for very personal reasons having little to do with literature.

She told the magazine she “wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment” and said the couple might eventually need relationship counseling.

The soon-to-be published interviewed was reported in The Sunday Times, which also quoted actress Emma Watson, who played Hermione, expressing doubts about the viability of her character’s relationship with Ron.

She told the newspaper that many fans doubt Ron can make Hermione happy over time.

Many fans had hoped Harry and Hermione would become a couple.

Ponderings

I came across this little image on Facebook and I thought it was true. Often times, we take those closest to us for granted and think they are always going to be there. The reality is that you never know what the future may hold. I was thinking today of a friend who helped me cope with a death in my family, without that person being there and who could relate to what I was going through, it would have been much more difficult. Even though we were only friends for a year, she was a better friend than friends I have known for years. No excuses, or judgements. Finding good, non-selfish friends is hard. Unfortunately, I lost contact as she moved out of state, but I am eternally gratefully. Thanks Lisa!!!

Every Day is a Winding Road

Over the Memorial Day holiday, a friend and I went to Orlando; it’s somewhat of a new tradition. This year, May-hem, a “horror” convention, fell on the holiday weekend. I love going to these conventions, because the freak level is off the chain. This year, I wasn’t too excited over the “celebrities”, so my friend and I drove up and just walked around the hotel, which was fun.

Afterwards, we drove to a nearby town called Windermere (where Tiger Woods lives). While driving around, we spotted this really cool foreclosed house that looked like a castle, I think it would have been a perfect backdrop for a movie. Gargoyles, Stonework and gothic architecture made it standout. The water view was breathtaking. I did a little bit of research and found it was listed for $1.6M.

If you have been to Florida, you know to drive from Central Florida to South Florida is very boring and monotonous. Since we had time, we decided to drive from Orlando to Boca Raton using the beach route (A1A). I do recommend it, but be prepared, it’s a looooong journey. We did hop on I-95 around Cocoa Beach, there was too much traffic on A1A. We exited around the Fort Pierce area and went back to US-1 & A1A. I am sharing with you some stops we made along the way. Hope you enjoy and maybe you can check out if you are in the area. FYI: Some of the Palm Beach celeb homes were kind of hard to take pictures because the estates were gated. You can google them, to see more detailed views.
